Most people will say: “It is impossible and there is now way out” and they are definitely WRONG. The truth is more than encouraging. Two-thirds of the people involved in air crashes survive. It is the statistic data and it can’t cheat you. But, you have to remember, when something happens namely with your plane, the actions you make literally mean the difference between life and death.

So some steps how to survive a plane crash:

  • wear only comfortable clothes, cotton clothes are preferable they are less prone to flame
  • choose the right seats. In general, it is a very controversial question, but most specialists claim that seats on the aisle and in the back are safer
  • don’t skip the reading of safety information card
  • keep your seatbelt fastened (especially when you sleep)
  • put your oxygen mask on (please, remember, you have only 15 minutes to start breathing through the mask, otherwise you’ll become unconscious)
  • protect yourself from smoke (if possible water a cloth and breathe thorough it or just breathe through a dry cloth, ’cause plane smoke is very toxic)
  • get out of the plane. Definitely as QUICKLY as possible. And don’t pani. Try to save yourself and don’t let the rest of people do the same

We were house-sitting for my cousin in Coevorden and had the use of their car. We drove all over The Netherlands. There is a parking lot at the entrance to the village. Just park and walk in. It's well worth the trip.
