As you remember, yesterday we started a new category and a new topic - travel guides, so today let me introduce you the second part of our travel guide to Alaska. Now you will get acquainted with main entertainings and amusements of this place.

Believe me, there are a lot of them, some are popular, some are not, some are open only in winter and some only in summer, but, anyway, a trip to Alaska is something, that you will never forget. So, main tourists attractions:

Places of Historical Heritage

If you are an experienced traveller and you visit to Egypt starts from pyramids, this small city is for you. In Alaska your “must-to-visit” list looks like that: historical museums (University of Alaska Museum of the North, Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center etc.), performance of Native dances and traditional music, heritage centers.

As for me, it is no Alaska without fishing. Just imagine: saltwater, freshwater and ice fishing. There are more than 620 fish species in Alaska. You know, people of Alaska like to say, that you will never have a problem how to catch fish, you will have difficulties, while deciding, what kind of fish to catch. It doesn’t matter what region to travel, in any case you will be satisfied!

Kayaking, rafting, canoeing

To tell the truth, these 3 activities can be called main activities for those, who adore active rest. Thousands of rivers, lakes, severe mountain waters. For instance, rafting tour, can lasts from 1 hour to the whole day. You can try on a very dangerous, extreme rafting among ice cubes. Thus, you’ll be able to see crystal-blue waters near glaciers with your own eyes.

Kayaking is available almost in any part of Alaska. You can rent a kayak or go on a tour with a guide. Thus, you can se natural wildlife in flesh.

Tour in wilderness

It is impossible to miss such a beauty, where else you can see polar bears, grizzly bears, lunx, orcas, eagles etc. Moreover, in their natural conditions of living. Try to choose a one-day and one night excursion, thus, it’ll be enough time to enjoy the spectacular views of animals and nature!

Bicycle tours

During this tour you’ll not only get wonderful impressions, but become healthier. Also, it is a perfect time-past when you have to make both ends meet, so don’t have enough money. Picturesque landscapes, marvellous views and close acquaintance with country. Roads are full of adventures. Tame them! You can rent a bike or a bicycle in almost any town.

Shopping

It is something that you can do, when you have some extra time and have already visited the whole natural attractions. Try to buy exclusively Alaskan products, I mean: handmade items, things made from animal skins, bones or furs, jewellery, delicacies (products from wild berries, salmon). But!!! Be careful, it is forbidden to transport some things from Alaska, so, consult customs-officer before buying.

And the last, but very important point - what do to during the night? So, restaurants and clubs.

Alaska is famous for its seafood products. Cuisine of Alaska contains various cakes, pancakes, pies. Be sure to taste salmon bake. Actually, it is not a night past-time, but… Just try a salmon-bake dinner!
