Tenerife is a perfect getaway, it is the largest of the Canary Islands and it offers everything even the most demanding traveller needs. The island has white sandy beaches, the versatile and lively nightlife, stunning natural beauties and don’t forget about the possibility of cheap flights to Tenerife. Here is an ultimate travel guide to the island:

Tenerife is exceptionally popular among European tourists and they adore visiting it all year long. The Canary Islands are known as the islands of eternal springtime, so it is always comfortable here even during peak seasons and off seasons.

Although weather can slightly differ from the north to the south of the island, you will find the right place to have some rest. Pay attention to the fact that the hottest temperatures are during the summer season, as a result the prices are expensive, so are the flights.

February is popular for carnival time. As a rule, this time is very festive and attracts a lot of tourists from all over the world. The capital of Tenerife is Santa Cruz, a great and expensive resort that is at the same time one of Spain’s largest ports, with a huge number of green lush parks, tax-free shopping and historical theatres.

The island offers a fantastic experience of visiting the top of El Teide, one of the world’s largest volcanoes. Believe me, you will enjoy really spectacular views over Tenerife.

To put it short, Tenerife is a popular destination for everybody escaping their boring lives and miserable weather!

You know, I adore travelling… I think you’ve read it here more than once or twice. I write this phrase either when occasion offers or just for fun, but this time, I really meant it, because after coming across this travel blog I once again realized how it is amazing to travel a lot, to discover new countries and to get acquainted with other cultures.

After reading such a blog I perfectly understand how must look an ideal travel blog. First of all, it has bright, catching design, then, convenient navigation and exciting, interesting information. On Hotel Club Travel Blog I found a successful combination of these 3 features. I devoted to this blog the whole day, I was reading, speculating, planning, wondering and constantly discovering something new about as it would seem simply things. For example:

Being a heavy fan of golf (do you remember, after my visit to Egypt?) I found out where you and I can have the worlds best golf courses;

As a great admirer of various unusual lists, I discovered what the most luxurious yachts are, how looks the hotel of the future, found more about underwater and strange recycled hotels…

Came to the conclusion, that for holidays I can invite not only my parents and friends but my pets as well;

What is more, I have always been wondering whether it is difficult or not to maintain an aquarium and now I guess it’s not very challenging (unless you’re not the owner of the world’s biggest aquarium in a cylindrical shape!);

I’m dreaming about visiting London. I used to think, that life there is calm and level, but now I’m a little bit puzzled, ’cause “Sometimes London Can Scare You to Death”.

The next thing I’ve noticed and would like to mention, this travel blog possesses travel forum. And I like forums, only there it is possible to find precise, fair and comprehensive information about hotels, countries, places of interest, airlines etc.

As a conclusion, dear travellers… Extremely useful and pretty cool travel blog. Don’t miss!

As you remember, yesterday we started a new category and a new topic – travel guides, so today let me introduce you the second part of our travel guide to Alaska. Now you will get acquainted with main entertainings and amusements of this place.

Believe me, there are a lot of them, some are popular, some are not, some are open only in winter and some only in summer, but, anyway, a trip to Alaska is something, that you will never forget. So, main tourists attractions:

Places of Historical Heritage

If you are an experienced traveller and you visit to Egypt starts from pyramids, this small city is for you. In Alaska your “must-to-visit” list looks like that: historical museums (University of Alaska Museum of the North, Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center etc.), performance of Native dances and traditional music, heritage centers.

Ocean Day Cruises

Be attentive! This trip you can make only in summer! Ocean day cruises are incredible pastime, they will show you a variety of places: Glacier Bay, Kenai Fjords and Prince William Sound. During this trip, you will see coastal Alaska and its incredible animals, fishes and natural conditions (bears, whales, sea lions, moutains etc.) Such a trip has only advantages and one of them is that you’ll be OK and able to enjoy marvellous landscaped even in unfavorable weather conditions. On your way to the Paradise there will be a stop in the old Indian village.

Ecotourism adventures

You can go mountain climbing (Mount McKinley, for example) and to make friends with local population, you can choose a mountain bike excursion or a day hike, raft down the Yukon river, experience wild rivers and marvellous glaciers. Or explore National Parks and centers. You can get acquainted with the culture of native Alaskan people, to listen to their songs and stories or just cross the Arctic Circle.

Flying tour

This kind of tour will bring your unforgettable experience and feelings. To see Alaska from a helicopter or a plane – it is amazing, spectacular view! Make a circle around Mount McKinley, ask a pilot to land you on a glacier, take a boat and explore this land… A pilot is not only a pilot, he is an experienced guide and story-teller. You will never feel boring with him!

Alaska cruise

It is an ideal trip for those, who have enough time and money. As a rule, sailing season starts in April and lasts till September. Visit exotic ports, cross the Gulf of Alaska and enjoy your trip. It is one of the most interesting ways to discover Alaska. Don’t miss!

Fishing

As for me, it is no Alaska without fishing. Just imagine: saltwater, freshwater and ice fishing. There are more than 620 fish species in Alaska. You know, people of Alaska like to say, that you will never have a problem how to catch fish, you will have difficulties, while deciding, what kind of fish to catch. It doesn’t matter what region to travel, in any case you will be satisfied!

Kayaking, rafting, canoeing

To tell the truth, these 3 activities can be called main activities for those, who adore active rest. Thousands of rivers, lakes, severe mountain waters. For instance, rafting tour, can lasts from 1 hour to the whole day. You can try on a very dangerous, extreme rafting among ice cubes. Thus, you’ll be able to see crystal-blue waters near glaciers with your own eyes.

Kayaking is available almost in any part of Alaska. You can rent a kayak or go on a tour with a guide. Thus, you can se natural wildlife in flesh.

Tour in wilderness

It is impossible to miss such a beauty, where else you can see polar bears, grizzly bears, lunx, orcas, eagles etc. Moreover, in their natural conditions of living. Try to choose a one-day and one night excursion, thus, it’ll be enough time to enjoy the spectacular views of animals and nature!

Bicycle tours

During this tour you’ll not only get wonderful impressions, but become healthier. Also, it is a perfect time-past when you have to make both ends meet, so don’t have enough money. Picturesque landscapes, marvellous views and close acquaintance with country. Roads are full of adventures. Tame them! You can rent a bike or a bicycle in almost any town.

Shopping

It is something that you can do, when you have some extra time and have already visited the whole natural attractions. Try to buy exclusively Alaskan products, I mean: handmade items, things made from animal skins, bones or furs, jewellery, delicacies (products from wild berries, salmon). But!!! Be careful, it is forbidden to transport some things from Alaska, so, consult customs-officer before buying.

And the last, but very important point – what do to during the night? So, restaurants and clubs.

Alaska is famous for its seafood products. Cuisine of Alaska contains various cakes, pancakes, pies. Be sure to taste salmon bake. Actually, it is not a night past-time, but… Just try a salmon-bake dinner!

Visit Alaska, you won’t be disappointed!

So, we came closer to the beauty of our own land! Alaska! It is really big, so before making a trip there, be careful to plan everything thoroughly, because, be sure, you’ll never have enough time to visit all the places and cities, so, choose the most preferable and I will try to help you!

Let’s start from the geographical data:

First of all, Alaska is the largest state in the USA. It is a land of amazing, even stunning natural beauty, the landscapes are incredible, they can take your breath away. There are 3 million of lakes in Alaska, over 3,000 rivers, 100,000 glaciers and 15 national parks. The biggest city in Alaska is called Anchorage (more than 40 percent of the whole population lives there). Alaska had a lot of regions and each region has something unique, peculiar only to it. Then, what about the weather? No doubts, clothing is a primary concern of any traveller. Listen to my advice, try to take only comfortable, warm and reliable things, mainly made from natural fabrics. During the summer average temperature is from 60°F to 80°F. Nights are a little bit cooler. So, pay attention even in the warmest regions, the weather rarely goes up more than 80°F.

How to get! It is really very simple, either by road or by train, and, of course, the most convenient way – by air. In the biggest cities (such as: Anchorage, Juneau, Fairbanks and Ketchikan) there is a developed system of public transportation.

Interesting facts about Alaska:

2 largest nation forests are situated in Alaska;

more than 80 percent of all the active volcanoes of the USA are situated in Alaska;

the warmest temperature in Alaska considered to be 100 degrees F (in 1915);

there 12 species if big game in Alaska;
