My dears, the above written title is the right one, so, Ipanema is not only about shoes, it is about breathtakingly beautiful places, splendid national colour, clear glassy pools, lively night scenes, glam boutiques, thickly forrested foothills and other natural attractions. Calvin Klein (a famous fashion designer) is one of the regular visitors of Ipanema. But, even despite its numerous attractions, the city has one very reasonable drawback – the lack of not even luxurious, but decent hotels. The level of the existing hotels (unfortunately!) is not of the kind most travellers might expect.

There is a common opinion, that almost every hotel has its ghosts, the matter is – some of them are too noisy. May be, because, it is no use, to deny the following saying: every family has its skeleton in the cupboard. The same with hotels, especially old hotels. Some people are brave enough to spend a night in a haunted hotel, but there are no guarantees that he or she will see a ghost. Ghosts are very choosy guys. But, however, you can increase your chances, while staying in the most famous haunted hotels in the USA. God bless you!

  1. Stanley Hotel.

“7,500 Feet Above The Ordinary. This hotel is situated among amazing natural conditions and landscapes. Beautiful Estes Park, incredible mountain view, valleys, the place the future meets the past… Special offers, spa center, modern amenities and so on…”

Have you ever read Stephen King’s book “The Shining”? Terrifying and scary. Half of this book was written while spending a night in a room 217 (a nice room, yeah?). But, according to the official data, room number 418 is more awful than 217.

    What’s strange?

Strange noises, children plays in the hall (although, there were no children at the hotel), creased bed (although, the room was empty). Previous owners of the hotel: F.O. and Flora Stanley are reported to visit it and very very often.

Best 7-star hotel in the world

Burj Al ArabBurj Al Arab… For many years this hotel have been attracting my attention! It is the only one hotel, possessing a 7-star status (but on the official web-site he is still viewed as a 5-star hotel)! It was built by Said Khalili and Tom Wright is his founding-father, I mean an architect. Nowadays, it is the tallest hotel in the world (321 metres high) and there is an artificial island under it. Burj Al Arab is situated in Dubai and from arabic its title can be translated as “Tower of the Arabs”, it symbolizes Dubai’s cities development and it has a strong resemblance to a billow-sail. In the course of time it justified its destination – to be a Dubai’s visiting card, the same as the Eiffel Tower in Paris. $1,5 was spent on its erecting. Luxury and luxurious are almost synonyms to this hotel. Inspite of its look, this hotels consists only of 28 floors and has 202 rooms. According to the statistic data it is the most expensive hotel that can be found! You will pay not less than $1,000 per one night! Each day, each year millions of people visit this hotel without paying attention to money. They stay at fashionable restaraunts: Al Muntaha and Al Mahara and enjoy picturesque landscapes of Dubai. By the way, in the best hotel there must be the best restaraunt and Al Mahara is not an exception. This hotel ia a masterpiece, a creature of a genious and as any outstanding person, place, building etc. it has a lot of critics. Most of them consider it to be a glorious victory of dreams and wastefullness over a common sense! Money works wonders! And, as to my mind, it is a decent “face” of rich and prosperous country! The wealthy have their own rules! Let’s follow them and enjoy the view of this unusual and gorgeous hotel!
