The building has been converted into a small luxury guesthouse and this move was a real success. I am ready to bet one will easily name this guesthouse ’one’s home away from home’.

Apart from the location Pieve a Pava presents an individual design for each room. Each of them comes with Each antique furnishings, mini bar, and super comfortable beds.

This house has resulted from the collaboration among different institutes within the University of Karlsruhe.

The house consists of a single room that comes in a cyclindrical design and it provides flexible space within a minimum housing unit. Everything you have to do is to turn the unit and it will be:  a bed and table in section, an exercise cylinder, and a kitchen with a sink.

Amazing!

And one more story about Dubai’s mind-blowing design and architecture – this time they are going to build the world’s first refrigerated beach at a luxury hotel. The following masterpiece will help beach lovers not to burn their feet. Just imagine, the whole construction will look like a real one (I mean natural) and will prevent people from overheating. Special heat-absorbing pipes will be built under the sand and giant wind blowers will be placed right on the beach.

But everything is not THAT great, a lot of scientists claim that such projects can have a very important and potential impact on climate change.

The concept is completely clear, super rich people don’t care of weather and climate problems they simply hate scalding sand and want to walk on a bit colder variant.

Love this hotel and the contrast of really chilling and peaceful atmosphere in it and hustle-bustle of the Bay out of it!

• Le Meridien Makadi Bay Hotel Hurghada

Although most travellers claimed it to be not very beautiful and in general so-so… I must say, I liked it, especially its 6,400 square metre swimming pool. To my mind the only one drawback of this hotel is its location – it is so far from the city center. ((( Anyway, you can check it out here.

• Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel Hurghada

And this hotel left me speechless. Its swimming polls are definitely not so great as in Le Meridien, but it closer to the center, provides priceless Internet connection, it is newer, so cleaner and more beautiful. I had ULTRA All Incl, so mango fresh juices made my days ))). The only one thing I didn’t like about it – the hotel is new and its territory is not very green. As to the prices, they are definitely higher than in usual 5-star hotels. I was checking them at HotelsCombined.

So, it is a legendary event, finally, Ipanema got the hotel it really deserves. I am talking about the Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro. It was opened in August and built by Brazilian hotelier Rogerio Fasano and its design was developed by Philippe Starck. The hotel consists of  91 rooms and made from the sleek wood, glass and metal. This hotel will be the prime center of attraction for anyone coming to Ipanema!

1. Stanley Hotel.

   “7,500 Feet Above The Ordinary. This hotel is situated among amazing natural conditions and landscapes. Beautiful Estes Park, incredible mountain view, valleys, the place the future meets the past… Special offers, spa center, modern amenities and so on…”

   Have you ever read Stephen King’s book “The Shining”? Terrifying and scary. Half of this book was written while spending a night in a room 217 (a nice room, yeah?). But, according to the official data, room number 418 is more awful than 217.

   What’s strange?

   Strange noises, children plays in the hall (although, there were no children at the hotel), creased bed (although, the room was empty). Previous owners of the hotel: F.O. and Flora Stanley are reported to visit it and very very often.

   
   

2. Crescent Hotel.

   One of the most beautiful hotels in this area. Full of gardens and flowers. The hotel was built in 1886 and is a member of the prestigious Historic Hotels of America…

   What’s strange?

   Hotel is haunted by various people. Room 218 is the place, where an Irish stonemason finished his fell from the roof of the hotel while building it. In Room 419 leaves a woman, she names herself as  a cancer patient, she introduces herself to people and then disappears. Spirits in Victorian garb were noticed in the dining room. They adore placing chairs around the Christmas tree.

   

   

3. The Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana.

   Just one look at this magnificent hotel and you already feel yourself so calm and quiet. So comfortable. It lies in a garden, even a park of oaks. The hotel offers amazing amenities: convenient rooms, large verandah and etc…

   What’s strange?

   This hotels considers to be “One of America’s most haunted homes”. One reason is – negative energy (more than 10 murders were committed here since 1700s). Many people considered this site to be an ancient Indian burial place. A lot of ghosts live there. A young girl, that comes only before a thunderstorm, a French women going from room to room while searching fro something and… Read the Cloe’s story. Cloe was a slave, she was a worker in this hotel (actually, it was a home) and she was doing some work in the house. Once she was caught eavesdropping, the owner cut her ear and told her to return into the fields. Once she was baking a cake for a family and added poison to it. Nobody knows for sure, may be she just wanted to return back to this home and take care about this family. Frankly speaking, she succeeded, she took care about a wife of the owner and his 2 children, but they died. Cloe was hanged by other slaves, ’cause they didn’t want to suffer from their owner anger. Since, a lot of people saw Cloe, the wife and 2 children.

What’s new? When walking into Love Boutique Motel, you are welcomed with a light-grey outer wall, unfortunately, because of this it has a strong resemblance with the rest of hotels. But, while parking, you will for sure notice the 1st difference – it is large. No doubts, you are damn right – is has 45 rooms. Each room is a special one with its unique amenities. For example, I like a room with aromatherapy oils and milk bath. This Motel is a place to stay with your best friend (I mean a boyfriend) and to have fun with him!

But, be careful, some people treat it as a place for harlotry, and, by the way, according to a reliable source, the walls are not very good (if to speak about noise insulation).

Just remember, sometimes the game is worth the candles!!!

This kind of hotel has no analogues. It will be called Travelpod. So, each pod is a polycarbonate glass box, that contains the whole accommodations of a normal hotel. Namely: TV, fridge, air conditioning system etc. The Travelpod, will have such a size: 6 metres by 2.4, and possesses a double bed, carpets on floors, and night table and nobody has forgotten about blinds.

Designers and creators of this new type of a permanent living consider it to be a real breakthrough in a hotel industry. Such mobile hotels will be of great popularity among those, who are adore visiting various outdoor events and feel themselves comfortable, while being at the music festival, for example. Manufacturers believe that these hotels are going to make a success and find their own place on the market. It is going to be a perfect alternative to a sleeping bag or a tent – at the same time you are among the nature and separated from such its disadvantages, as: insects, noises, harsh winds and unpleasant smells.

Some people don’t think, that there will be a lot of people, ready to rent it, but not so far, one woman had rented 20 mobile hotels in order to celebrate her daughters wedding (namely to locate guests there). They are completely transparent, you can see the world around you and nothing will disturb you…
