I can’t deny the fact that I am in love with Egypt. I love everything about this country … I love everything about it, and here are my list of 5 wonders of Egypt.

The Great Sphinx

This massive statue will impress you and you will imagine it in your head over and over again. The Great Sphinx is a human head on a lion’s body and it attracts attention as a magnet.

The Great Pyramid

The Great Pyramid is actually the only one of the original 7 wonders of the world and it is a must-see object. The Pyramid was constructed for Pharaoh Khufu, and we are very glad it turned to be that reliable.

The Nile

This river is amazing. This is definitely the life blood of the country and it gives his country a lot.

The Temple of Luxor

The following Temple was built by Amenhotep III and Rameses II. The Temple impresses and surprises and you can enjoy and enjoy it and spend a lot of time while having an excursion.

The Red Sea

The Read Sea is one of the most important assets of Egypt.

I hope you enjoyed this short journey into Egypt!

There are some rivers in the world that not only enchant you with their beauty but take your mind and soul and never let you go. The following three are exactly of this kind.

Blue NileRiver, Khartoum

No, no. It’s not the second Nile, it is just the 1,600 km long chief headstream of the Nile. The river goes through Ethiopia and Sudan and at Khartoum the Blue Nile merges with the White Nile and they create the famous Nile proper. The flow of the Blue Nile reaches it maximum level in the rainy season. The Blue Nile is strong and beautiful and it offers numerous places for amazing shots.

Indus River, Northern Pakistan

The Indus River is the longest river in Pakistan. What is more, it is the life-line of the country. The average length of the river is 3,180 kilometres. The river is extremely important since it is crucial for the ecosystem of temperate forests and arid countryside. The Indus river belongs to a couple of rivers around the world that exhibit a tidal bore. Main source of water is glaciers.

Yangtze River, China

The Yangtze River is 6,300 kilometres long and it stretches nine provinces. This river is the third large after the Amazon and Nile. Very often in China it is called the River of Golden Sand. For many years the river has been a main transportation highway. Every year the Yangtze deposits a lot of silt that makes possible rice growing. These plains are very fertile that is why to grow something here is a real pleasure. Apart from its important transit, economic and agricultural functions, the river offers spectacular views.

I have been already sharing with you my Egypt travel experience. Sorry for constant repetition but this country enchanted me and I told you a lot about food, dangers, secrets, people BUT I failed to share with you info about one of the most important part of any trip – HOTELS. So, my dears, I was in Egypt three times, two of them I was in Hurghada, a very controversial city (most people don’t even treat it as a resort) but I don’t belong to them. So while going there I was looking for such hotels capable of ensuring: luxurious rest, great facilities, pleasant service, nice location, tasty food (fresh juices) and not extremely high rates, after some suggestions I decided to choose:

Le Meridien Makadi Bay Hotel Hurghada

Although most travellers claimed it to be not very beautiful and in general so-so… I must say, I liked it, especially its 6,400 square metre swimming pool. To my mind the only one drawback of this hotel is its location – it is so far from the city center. ((( Anyway, you can check it out here.

Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel Hurghada

And this hotel left me speechless. Its swimming polls are definitely not so great as in Le Meridien, but it closer to the center, provides priceless Internet connection, it is newer, so cleaner and more beautiful. I had ULTRA All Incl, so mango fresh juices made my days ))). The only one thing I didn’t like about it – the hotel is new and its territory is not very green. Check the photos here and in my Flickr photostream.

As to the prices, they are definitely higher than in usual 5-star hotels. I was checking them at HotelsCombined.

Enjoy your rest!

Yesterday a friend of mine told me, that it is not prestigious to travel to Egypt or Turkey… If we want to be cool travellers we should think about Cuba holiday. Frankly speaking, he puzzled me a lot, what is so special about this Cuba? Actually, after a couple of hours I was almost ready to visit Cuba, would you like to know why???

Cuba (with the capital Havana) is a country where summer rules all year round, it presents unforgettable epic colonial architecture ensembles, hot salsa dancers, crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, legendary cigars, golf championships, fly fishing and birdwatching activities, friendly people… The official language is Spanish. Cuba is a place of famous Che Guevara and bold bright people. The atmosphere is absolutely miraculous, it feels like FREEDOM. Cuba is rich in art, architecture and culture, it offers a great number of various sightseeings.

I was impressed with this info, Cuba looks like a must-visit place. And really , why not? The only one problem, it is better to start searching for a Cuba hotel right now. I like one hotel that looks like a magical palace. It is called the classic Grande Dame hotel of Havana, it boasts pleasant gardens, perfect sea views, flawless services but a bit high prices. So, may be I will put aside some money or just choose a cheaper hotel.

And the last point I like about Cuba – tours, so, after a couple of hours I am ready to announce, that I dream about Pearl of the Caribbean Itinerary Cuba tour. Why? Because it is the best opportunity to enjoy Cuba as it is. This charming tour allows to get only the best experience of Cuban culture.

So, it is time to go on with our main Egypt Dangers and Secrets.

The 4th place is occupied with:

Bedouins

Bedouins are people wandering throughout Egypt’s deserts, they are nomads, that are in constant search for fresh grazing (oh, no! Not for themselves, for their camels and goats) and water (this time for themselves). It is incredible, but they know everything about Egypt and its secrets, nothing in the desert escapes the Bedouin’s eye. Actually, they hate being photographed, but, I made it. Enjoy:

markets

Something unbelievable, they are real feast bazaars, full of various fruits and vegetables. This abundance of fruits can drive you crazy. As a rule, you can buy them right on the street and choose everything you like. The only one remark, be careful, you can buy rotten tomatoes instead of these lovely red ones. Don’t let them cheat you!

plants

It is really amazing, that there are a plenty of cacti, flowers, palms and green, green grass right in the middle of this desert. Everything grows thanks to industriousness of Egyptian people. They work day and night while creating these small paradises.

As I have already told you I was in Egypt and it was my 2nd time in this miraculous and mesmerizing country. Since the East has enchanted me, I can’t imagine my life without it.

Dear friends and travellers, you can find additional info about Egypt in such posts as 10 facts everybody must know about Egypt and the best car in Egypt and today I would like to share with you my own conclusion and views about Egypt’s main secrets and dangers.

So,

the 1st secret is the Red Sea. I have never seen something more incredible. Its underwater world is one of the richest on the Earth. It is very very salty (the concentration of salt is very high), so the Red Sea belongs to one of the most saline water bodies in the world. What is more, there is no river or stream falling in it, so this Sea can be named the cleanest one. Such a name the sea got from the seasonal blooms of the red-coloured cyanobacteria.

many species of fish are hazardous to humans. I was aware about this, but didn’t think, that everything is so serious. So, I came across a very beautiful fish, thanks God I didn’t touch it. So, ladies and gentlemen, a lionfish! This fish is a venomous one. It is also known as as the Turkey Fish or Dragon Fish. Remember, don’t even think to touch it and once you have noticed it, swim away from her, spines of this fish are poisonous. The stroke is very painful, it can shock a person.

But, there are a lot of other fish not dangerous and very friendly. But, in any case, it is better to stay away from them.

palm-trees can be found all over the Egypt. I was surprised to find out, that there is a special service (agricultural I mean), taking care about palms, cutting them, bounding and feeding. Palms are great.
