Famous Hotel on Bahamas

Front view of hotel!UNBELIEVABLE! AMAZING! STANNING! My best friend Molly has just returned from the Bahamas! She brought me a lot of presents and positive emotions! But sometimes while speaking it seems to me that it is something wrong with her! From a typical American school-girl she turned into a careless and slapdash person! Very often I here such uncomprehending phrases as: I does do dat, She did tell him already, Why you gone do dat? And what do you think: it’s absolutely clear – she is unilateral or just an underachiever? Oh, no this paradise on the earth’s whirled her head and stole her thoughts! She is in love with the Bahamas, still self-absorbed and on the 9th cloud. She told a lot of interesting facts and things, namely, I even can’t imagine that Bahama-mama is just a cocktail, and nothing more! In fact it is delicious!

Beautiful swimming-pool!Also Molly showed me the pictures of her hotel and some hotels, which are worth noticing! Graycliff is a picture-perfect, palm-fringed inn located in the heart of Old Nassau. Surrounded by tropical gardens and the azure Caribbean just beyond, it is the perfect setting, both restful and resplendent, befitting a mansion that has the only five-star restaurant in the entire Caribbean. The 1st building of this hotel complex was built 206 years ago and nowadays it is a restaurant. The Hotel comprises of 3 main buildings. But there are some new premises there with views of Graycliff garden, swimming pool, or Nassau Harbour.

Room facilities!Graycliff’s amenities include the newly installed gym, sauna, and jacuzzi, as well as the Chairman’s Club Bar & Lounge. There are 3 different pools to choose from, as well as a large outdoor deck for your enjoyment. I saw her photos, I listened to the history of this hotel and now I’m sure – I want to go there!

How to get to Bahamas?

Serenity of the paradise

The Bahamas just imagine: blue, crystal-clear water of the Atlantic Ocean, gold sands of the world famous resorts, uninhabited cays and large rocks, serene atmosphere of luxury and natural beauty. Here sky meets the sun, ocean meets land… I have never been there. But if I had enough money I would go there for sure. It is a land of my dream. I’ve read a lot about it and if one day I have an opportunity to make my dream come true (and I know I will) I will be in full possession. I think there are a lot of people who are luckier than I am, and they are going to the Bahamas in the nearest future, so the following information and interesting facts will be useful for them:

  • Bahamas consists of 700 islands and each island has its own diversity that continues beyond geography, carrying through to the heart of The Bahamas, the Bahamian people;
  • Take warm clothes with you! Evenings are rather cold!
  • In the Bahamas, the legal tender is the Bahamian dollar (B$1), which is equivalent in value to the U.S. dollar. And relax – these currencies are interchangeable!
  • English is the official language of The Islands Of the Bahamas. But!!!!! Be careful! However, until you become accustomed to the region’s dialect, you may have to ask some people to repeat what they say
  • There are no rivers in the Bahamas;
  • Bahamas does not have an army;
  • The Islands of the Bahamas are made entirely of calcium carbonate;
  • There are 120 species of plants found only in the Bahamas, so, you can try your best and enrich your own home flora with new species!
  • According to the World Health Organization, only 3% of women and 19% of men in the Bahamas are smokers;
  • Junkanoo (which has been compared to Carnival in Rio and Mardi Gras in New Orleans) is a colorful and uniquely Bahamian parade held on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Dance! Dance! Dance!
  • The ratio of flamingos to people on Great Inagua is 61:1. So, girls, think about it!
  • Some unusual island names are Ragged Island, Crooked Island, Rum Cay, Conception Island, Exuma, Big Farmer’s Cay and Great Sayle Cay;
  • Cascarilla bark grown in a few Out Islands is used to flavor Campari and Vermouth.

Dear friends, I wish you good luck and unforgettable rest! And if you don’t mind, please clarify it to me whether the Bahamas is the tropical paradise, a perfect tranquil place for family rest and seclusion or an opportunity to see the emerald and turquoise waters of the Bahamas archipelago, breathtaking beaches, miles of sand and millions of adventures! To be continued…
