This steel-arch Bridge was opened on March 19th 1932. The Bridge is the world’s largest (but not longest) bridge. The construction carries eight vehicle lanes, two train lines, a footway and a cycle way.

It took six years to construct the bridge. The entire bridge is made of steel and it contains 6 million hand driven rivets. There is a fantastic beautiful harbour right near the bridge and its attracts attention of tourists and locals as a magnet.

The total length of the bridge is 1149 meters and its arch span is 503 meters. According to the official data the top of the arch is 134 meters above sea level.
