Turkey – magic country

Gorgeous colours of IstanbulSummer 2006… I have been planning my trip to Egypt for 3 months. Climate, people, traditions, sightseeing… And finally my friend told me that she bought hotel vouchers to Turkey. And again I found out info about climate, people, traditions, and sightseeing but about this country.

So, despite my expectations and they were rather sombre, now I am very glad – this country is a real tourist center and all my prejudices have disappeared. After my rest the only one thing I can tell – thank you Turkey! It was amazing!

We stayed at the 3 star Hotel. But, again, it was so neat, tidy even beautiful, that I fall in love with it at the first sight. It is situated in a small silent street, but in five minutes you will get to the center, full of various temptations: shops and souvenirs, presents and gifts, gold and silver jewellery, mugs, cups and plates… And so on and so far. Unfortunately, our hotel didn’t have its own beach and food was rather poor, bur, nevertheless, it helped us to loose weight.

Most of hotels’ visitors and guests were Russians, and their language is so funny. They like VODKA, it is very strong alcoholic drink and their girls like Turkish men. Personnel of this hotel are very friendly and their smiles are irresistible. Besides, we stayed at the Park Hotel.

What can I tell you about Turkey? This country has perfect sceneries and marvellous landscapes; it is surrounded by mountains and is washed by three seas: the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and the Aegean Sea. Of course, we spent our holiday near the Mediterranean Sea, it is warm and just warm. By the way, you can visit beaches of other hotels, sometimes you even don’t have to pay for this.

Parties! There are four main discos in this part of Turkey! Most of all we liked Aura Moonlight and especially its foam discos. They start foaming you at 2 a.m. and in 10 minutes you are sopping, but so glad and happy! Try it, but be careful while choosing clothes! This foam can spoil them and leave some spots!

And the last point – TURKISH MAN! There are two categories of them – annoying ones and pretty-boys!

Turkey, I miss you!

Giethoorn – Village in Holland with No Roads

We were house-sitting for my cousin in Coevorden and had the use of their car. We drove all over The Netherlands. There is a parking lot at the entrance to the village. Just park and walk in. It's well worth the trip.
