I guess there are a  lot of fantastic and unusual churches scattered here and there but only some of them leave us with our mouths slightly agape. They are too odd to be true, would you like to find more about them?

• Las Lajas Cathedral in Colombia

Believe it or not but the following church will take your breath away. It is mind-blowing. The church itself is situated in the remote mountains of southwestern Columbia. The building looks like a fairy-tale castle because the whole church seems to be a huge bridge. As a rule, deep mists hide the church.

• Duomo Cathedral, Milan, Italy

Duomo di Milano is one of the most attractive parts of Milan. The following cathedral is large, bizarre and extremely popular. It is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. The building itself is tall, unusual and quirky.

• The Church of Hallgrimur, Reykjavik, Iceland

The Hallgrimskirkja is a great Lutheran parish church that is both extremely unusual and tall. It reaches 74.5 metres (244 ft) height. The church is also used as an observation tower.
