If you are the one who can’t imagine holidays without a swimming pool, you might want to visit the largest swimming pool on the Earth – San Alsonso del Mar. It was even named the current Guinness record in the nomination of the world’s largest crystalline water pool. It has more than 1 km in length extension and eight hectares and 250 million liters of water.
The following masterpiece is famous not for sizes only, it waters boasts intense turquoise color of tropical seas. The water is taken from the ocean and it is kept (due to certain techniques) in perfect condition. The main trick is that the sea is located in a five-minutes-walk, but it is approximately 10 degrees colder than the pool.
But don’t even think to build something like that. First of all, you have to be a successful owner of nearly $2billion and be able to maintain the pool ($4million annually). The resort is located on San Alfonso del Mar resort at Algarrobo, on Chile’s coast.
The technical side is extremely complicated, since the pool has a computer-controlled suction and special filtration system to maintain the water fresh. Actually, it is a kind of “an impressive artificial paradise”.
The pool is filled to capacity almost every day. And the most attractive point – such pools can be built everywhere where there is an access to water.
