Marengo Cave is located in Marengo, Indiana and it is commonly described as one of the most beautiful caves in the eastern United State. The cave’s most attractive part is a large trunk passage, that is hugely decorated with numerous impressive and massive speleothems.

There are a lot of tours to the following cave and this spectacular place enchants thousands of people throughout the world. However, the longer tour is rather new, as it was opened in 1979.

Frankly speaking, there are numerous stories as to the facts of cave discovery, but all of them are rather strange and after one hundred years we still don’t know who discovered it. 

Nowadays, the cave is open all year long. A few different movies have filmed in here, for example: Madison in 2001.
