Cherapunji is not a word to make your crackjaw, it is a town in the Indian state of Meghalaya and means “the abode of clouds”. It is officially named the wettest place on Earth, because all the possible rains in the world fall here. People here can even pull your leg and tell you that rainfall is not measured in inches but in feet.

 Cherapunji Waterfalls in India

Cherapanjee is a town of constant waterfalls and mysterious caves with numerous stalactites. Driving here can be called one of the most thrilling ever, as you will enjoy numerous waterfalls and clouds.

Wow, that is beautiful, possibly one of the most attractive sites I’ve ever seen. Can people swim in those waters or is that a religious site?

I thought it looked familiar! If it’s Plitvice, you cannot swim there so as not to disturb the water quality.

This place is not cherapunji. There isnt any such place in India. Though it is the wettest place, however it thirsts for rain during winters. Whosever has uploaded saying that it is cherapunji is a “Sull Bhiter”.
