It does not seem safe to live like that with kids. We have such strict pool fencing laws here in Australia and still so many die each year... water is too much of a temptation. What a nice little village. The pictures on this site capture exactly like we saw it. As we were walking the canal we stopped and had a very nice Belgium waffle at one of the many restaurants. We drove all over The Netherlands. There is a parking lot at the entrance to the village. Just park and walk in. It's well worth the trip.
