As a rule, saying a “lighthouse” we mean a lonely tower among the hostile environment: severe weather, rocky mountains, harsh winds, angry waves. This tower gives light for ships and other vessels, a lighthouse prevents them from dying. The most famous lighthouse of all times is the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
