Storms … they can be named one of the most mysterious and unknown phenomena in the world. They take lives and houses, they destroy everything they touch and turn lives of people upside down. Most terrifying storms are an awful combination of terrible weather conditions, destructions and lasting impacts on people and land. They happen on the whim of weather and that is the most dangerous thing (((

  • Bhola Cyclone

It happened in Bangladesh. This devastating cyclone stuck in 1970. The world has never seen a cyclone THAT severe. 38 years later it is still considered to be one of the deadliest natural disasters in modern times. The storm was powerful and long.

Between 300,000 and 500,000 people lost their lives and thousands of people were left homeless. The cyclone ruined everything on its way and this land turned into a complete mess.

  • Hurricane Katrina

There were a lot of hurricanes in the USA, but this one was the worst ever. According to the death toll it can’t be named the most powerful one but its financial impact was incomparable. This storm has changed the entire region.

It happened in 2005 and nobody was expecting this small storm to grew into a Category 5 hurricane. New Orlean was dying from really severe flooding.

This storm took lives of 1,500 people in four states, thousands of houses were either destroyed or simply damaged.

  • Tri-State Tornado

It can be named the deadliest tornado in US history. It happened in 1925. The tornado traveled the distance of 352 kilometers in a 3 and a half hours.  Scientists still don’t know whether it was a single tornado or a family of them.

It killed 695 people and destroyed 15,000 homes.
